This is a unique passion project about tosatsu (盗撮) in Japan: The practice of secretly taking upskirt photos.
Explore a 3D open-world suburb of Tokyo to look out for targets, complete your collection, sell your photos, buy upgrades and go on dates.
Hentai/sex features are unlocked as part of the character-dating and the lens upgrades.

For Windows PC
- Download the zip file
- Extract it into a folder
- Run Snapshot!.exe
The game saves automatically, and you keep your progress when updating to a new version. Just extract the newer version in a new folder and launch it.
If you want to use the the itch app then don't run it in sandbox mode, or you might lose your savegame progress.
Info for Android users:
The windows version can be played on Android devices with the free tool Winlator. See this article as a reference. Once you have set up Winlator and downloaded the game, you will find the snapshot zip file in the D: folder. You need to extract the .zip with the 7Zip program that's preinstalled on Winlator to run the snapshot!.exe.

Is there, or could there be, difficulty modes like: casual, easy, normal, hard?
Some players, like myself, have challenges playing timing and rhythm based games. We need more ‘green’ range due to dexterity issues.
Feature Request: Could you make it so that difficulty mode increases the percentage of green and orange zones?
Without such a feature to ease game play, you will be sacrificing potential players in an already niche game genre.
Thanks for considering this feature request. It really looks like a cool game, I just wish I could play it.
There is an upgrade with multiple levels in the store that you can buy to make the minigame easier. Further Patreon users have access cheats making the minigame even easier and remove negative consequences.
Will this be coming to Android at any point?

Have you been running the game via the itch app in "sandbox mode"? Itch then puts all files in a different folder and you can lose your progress.
When you normally run the game, your savegame will be saved here:
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\LocalLow\Tiny Secret Games\Snapshot!
If you use the itch sandbox mode, it can be moved to a folder like:
C:\Users\itch-player\AppData\LocalLow\Tiny Secret Games\Snapshot!
Check that folder and copy the savegame over. If the app ever resets or recreates that sandboxed profile, those sandbox saves can also seem to vanish.

Will I be able to keep my current save file for future updates when using an external install instead of via Itch?
Generally, it doesn't matter where you download the zip fle from (e.g, from patreon). The save game is located in a systems folder and would be accessible from any install.
Just make sure to not switch from higher to lower versions or try any "hacked" versions. This can easily kill your savegame.

Hey, I figure myself to be a game tester, so when I played it and found an exploit/bug I thought I would let you know ^-^.
So I got caught by the police (since they spawned on me after getting a star) and I opened the menu and quit the game. When I re-entered the game, I found that none of my pictures were lost, it was like I was never caught.
Yes I still had the 2 two star heat but the fact is I still got caught. Sorry for the long comment, but I def hope so see future progress with this. Hope this helps :)
Thanks for letting me know! I'll see what I can do without making it too hurtful for the player, e.g. I'm currently not removing the the photos right in the moment of being caught because I planned on giving the player more options to get out of the dialog with the police without losing their pictures in the future. e.g. by utilizing a special item.

You have to download the new version from itch when its released

Can you tell me what AI you use? The results are just amazing.
Good game, so far so good.
A few minor nitpicks however.
1. Not being able to run, when the map keeps getting bigger.
2. The sex at the moment looks really jank.
3. The, albeit disclosed, usage of AI. I am hoping that at some point they can be replaced in the far future. But that's just a personal gripe.
4. The music doesn't loop properly.

1) I don't plan running (testing it led to the MC easily running into the police), but will release other measures of increasing the general movement speed.
2) I don't think its that bad but it can certainly be improved. The Love Hotel (coming in the next itch update) got a significant update for it and I plan to transition to better 3D models in the future.
3) I hope you will like the redrawn photos, but they will still rely on AI support.
4) That was indeed a problem of an older version. It's fixed in the newer patreon version and in the next itch release. Still, I'd like to add more variation in the music in the future too!
after getting to the point where officer togami replaces yoruko on the corner how do i progress the storyline past that to the hypnosis scene

to get her to the alley? you have to let her see you, while you carry some hypno films.
You’ll need to get the cops. After that, Shell will spawn. You must enter her vision and have hypnotic films on you for the scenes to play out.

Very fun game (7/10),
Xray should also include booby pics if you take them Infront of a person.
Hypnosis can use more expansion and ease to use. Its needs to be quicker, but it would also be fun to be able to mess around like do a transform chicken or cow.
Stuff like a map expansion would also be cool.
And of course it needs more photos/content.
Amazing game! Have played since a few months back and keep coming back for the updates. They never disappoint, and the frequent progress announcements are great. On a sidenote, would it be viable to implement some sort of FPS limiter? Feels a little wasteful to be chugging out frames at max capacity when the main content of the game is still images.

I got all the officers photos except one but it has ??? one the photo and I can't figure out how to get it. Its also on some of the others to, any chance I can get a hint?
Chances are good that it’s one you can take very early in the alley sequence. People tend to overlook that and move on the to fun part ;)
When i update the game does it delete my progress? And when is the next update?
The free update on itch is once a month. So the next one will be be around September 1st.
Your savegame is kept when updating. Just download the newest version into its own folder and run it from there. It will automate detect your save.

Patreon generally works as a monthly subscription. This is about supporting my work. The game features will make their way to itch for free eventually.

Make sure to properly extract the zip file into its own folder. What you describes sounds like you are trying to run the game of of the compressed zip file.

My Game doesnt autosave :( what can i do?

If you download the zip from itch ip and properly extract it into its own folder than it should automatically safe your game. Make sure to properly close it and not just exit via Alt+F4

The game is not made for Android. Some people play it via windows emulators such as Winlator. For which you can find tutorials e.g. on Youtube. The challenge is not to run my game on winlator, but to properly setup winlator on your device, which is complex.

Every time I try to make a new folder on winlator it simply doesn't do anything once I click create
There's 106 different hypnosis shots. I think it takes too long to take all the pictures. Skipping through the dialogue and the different image option feels jarring. Don't you think there should be a faster option? Like, hypnotizing the woman, playing the mini game and then just choosing the type of picture you want?
I get your point and will definitely improve that part further! The first thing I'm doing as part of version 0.94 is adding more variation to the alley sequence. The images and texts will differ more strongly based on the body type.
Some people really enjoy collecting all the photos as is, and I don't want players to rush through the content. Collecting all 100+ photos should be a very special achievement. Still, I don't want it to be tedious, so I'll look for more ways of speeding up the process. Possibly another lens upgrade that allows you to skip parts without it feeling "cheap".
The extra camera lens seems like a good idea.

I'm on an android tablet and I already installed 7zipper and winlator but I don't know how to do anything else
I have downloaded version 0.907. After opening the game, I am stuck on the loading screen and it doesn’t progress at all after a long time. As mentioned before from other comments, yes I have extracted the game from the ZIP file into its own folder, yet it still doesn’t work.
Send me your Player.log file and I might be able to see what's the issue on your system. You can find it under "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Tiny Secret Games\Snapshot!" , or go there via win + r appdata --> LocalLow\Tiny Secret Games\Snapshot!.

Just letting you know that I’m the same guy that sent the player log on discord. Just a different name to be discreet.
I feel that the overuse of AI art really takes all the creativity of the game I would understand if this is only for the under skirt part of the game but its most of the 2d assets that are AI. If the 2d art for the characters were drawn by hand or done with a artist It would feel like a real game.
When is the next release?
